Travelling the World with Kids
Travelling with kids is as rewarding as it is challenging. The experience you have depends largely on the type of trip, the length of time, your children’s age and temperament, family dynamics, and many other factors. I was a single parent for the first 6 years of my older child’s life, and I did quite a bit of travelling solo around the world with her.

I later married and had a second child. Having an age gap of almost 9 years between my kids, I have been taking kids on trips for over a decade. I’ve been on more flights with kids than I can count, and there’s no end to the number of tantrums I’ve calmed. I love travelling with them and I relish the time I have left to still do this before my oldest is grown up and before they’re both grown up!
Here are the countries I’ve specifically visited with kids: Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Bahamas, Denmark, Ecuador, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, UK and USA
