Tobermory, Ontario
Tobermory, Ontario is honestly one of my favourite places. I visit almost once a year. It’s about 3 hours away, but the trip is worth it.
I usually come here with my family, but I’ve been by myself too – simply for its diving opportunities!
Tobermory is Known For:
- Being the tip of the Niagara Escarpment
- The Gateway to Bruce Peninsula National Park, and Fathom Five National Marine Park (which includes the stunning Flowerpot Island)
- Being the scuba diving capital of Canada
- It’s shipwrecks. There are hundreds of them sunk at the bottom of the waters surrounding Tobermory
- Being near the Grotto, which was Ontario’s #1 tourist attraction
- Camping. There are lots of camping in the area
