Tobermory, Ontario

Tobermory, Ontario is honestly one of my favourite places. I visit almost once a year. It’s about 3 hours away, but the trip is worth it.

I usually come here with my family, but I’ve been by myself too – simply for its diving opportunities!

Tobermory is Known For:

  • Being the tip of the Niagara Escarpment
  • The Gateway to Bruce Peninsula National Park, and Fathom Five National Marine Park (which includes the stunning Flowerpot Island)
  • Being the scuba diving capital of Canada
  • It’s shipwrecks. There are hundreds of them sunk at the bottom of the waters surrounding Tobermory
  • Being near the Grotto, which was Ontario’s #1 tourist attraction
  • Camping. There are lots of camping in the area
