Banff, Alberta
Banff, Alberta, is a top destination in Canada and for a good reason. It should be on everyone’s Canada bucket list, whether they’re Canadian or visiting.

Recently, Banff has been struggling with overtourism. The government has had to ban parking at some of the major sites (like Lake Louise) because of too many cars for not enough spaces!
For this reason, some people have been opting to visit Jasper instead. However, if your dream is to see Banff, you’re in good company – yes, there will be a lot of people, but the views are so pristine.
I should clarify that the name “Banff” can refer to either Banff National Park, or the small town of Banff. Most people stay near the town of Banff (or the nearby one called Canmore, which is cheaper) and venture into the sites of the park from there)

My first trip to Banff was with my oldest when she was still only 22 months old, so I learned some tips for navigating the area with a small child.
