Costa Rica
Of all the places we’ve been to, Costa Rica is definitely a favourite. Their commitment to sustainability and nature is inspiring, and I love the nature-based activities, which the majority of their tourism is based around.
In addition to more than half of their land being covered in rainforest, Costa Rica is also home to one of the only cloud forests left in the world. This didn’t happen on it’s own. Costa Rica has preserved and even re-grown a lot of rainforest that was previously cleared for farming.
That’s what I love about Costa Rica. With such ecological diversity and 30% of their land being protected, they are a leader in sustainability, and one of the best places in the world to explore and appreciate biodiversity.
Some people head to the land of pura vida mainly for a relaxing beach holiday, and Costa Rica is great for that too. Whether you’re looking for beaches, volcanos, coffee farms, mountains or rainforests – Costa Rica has such a diverse range of outdoor beauty and activities.
