Easter Events in New Tecumseth (2025)

If you’re looking for Easter events in Alliston, Beeton or Tottenham, you’re in the right place.
There are several spring and Easter activities and events in New Tecumseth; many of them geared at families:
- egg hunts
- chances to hang out with the Easter Bunny
- lots of chances to support small businesses who put lots of planning into this family fun.

As a local New Tecumseth mom I’ve been lucky to participate in many of the Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham Easter events over the years – spring in this part of Ontario is one of my favourite times of year.
I want to show you that you don’t necessarily need to drive to Barrie or Toronto for fun things going on to kick off spring- there’s plenty to do at Easter and spring right in some of the best small towns in Ontario.
So, let’s jump in – Easter events in Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham!

2. Easter Express on the South Simcoe Railway
Dates: April 19th and 20th, 2025
The South Simcoe Railway is a historic train in Tottenham that has been providing leisure rides for over 30 years.
The roundtrip rides are about an hour long. Some of them are simply scenic rides, but special rides are offered at Christmas, Easter and Halloween where there are special guests, games and candy handed out.

The Easter Express involves the coach being festively decorated for spring, and a visit from the Easter bunny who sits down with each family, and hands out some chocolate.
I’ve been riding the South Simcoe Railway at Christmas since I was a kid, and they were memories that really stuck with me. It makes a unique and fun Easter memory for your family.
Tickets for the Easter Bunny Express go on sale March 31st this year. Visit their website to purchase!
3. Sheldon Creek’s Easter At the Farm
Dates: Saturday, April 12th, 2025
Sheldon Creek Dairy is a family-owned farm just 15 minutes from Alliston.
They have been hosting family events throughout the year for several years now, and do extra special ones at certain holidays like Easter and Halloween.

Sheldon Creek’s Easter events usually involve an egg hunt, crafts, meeting the cows, and playing at their playground on-site.
Sometimes there is also a small vendor market and there is also a farm store to do some shopping of locally-sourced food products and gifts.
So, I recommend coming with your wallet handy.

There are usually outhouses on-site for public use at Sheldon Creek’s events, but there can sometimes be lineups. I recommend bringing a portable potty if you’re coming with potty-training toddlers!
Like other Easter events in town, don’t forget your Easter basket or Easter reusable tote bag for kids to use for the egg hunt.
Pre-registration is required for Easter at Sheldon Creek Dairy, and can be done on their website here. Cost is $7 per child
