Mexico
I always say that Mexico is very underrated, especially for North Americans. It is mostly seen for its beautiful beaches and luxury resorts, but there’s so much outside of that.
I lived in Mexico for 6 months, and have been back there several times. My favourite thing about Mexico is the colonial cities, architecture and its vibrant culture.
I speak Spanish and enjoy being able to connect with locals and learn more about their fascinating history, celebrations, festivals and culture. I’ve been lucky enough to take part in several of them, my favourite being Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead.)
