Making a Living from Travel Blogging
Travel blogging, for me, is a dream come true. I love writing, and I love travelling – I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be able to do this for a living.
I started my travel blog in 2023 – so this website is a lot newer than some of the big-name travel blogs out there, but older than many amazing blogs that have come out in the last couple of years.
I started my blog when I was already a 30-something mom with 2 kids, after I had spent almost 10 years working as a teacher.
My husband believed in my capability to replace my teaching income from travel blogging, so I quit my job, took a course that taught me how to run a monetized travel blog, and I started writing.
It has blossomed into a fulfilling career that allows me to travel when I want, work from anywhere, be present for my kids and husband, and feel like I’m contributing in a way that aligns with my true talents.

Learning to Travel Blog
Getting a travel blog up and running will be no easy task, and you can expect it to take months to years to make money – especially serious money.
To cut down on time, then I recommend taking a travel blogging course. Personally, I took Scale Your Travel Blog. You can take the course only, or the course + coaching program (which I did.)
I am very thankful for having joined Scale Your Travel Blog; Laura Peters is an incredible and very resourceful leader. I credit her to helping me get this website off the ground.
Key Takeaways About Travel Blogging
If you love to travel and to write, then you will love blogging. My advice is, you always have to find your own voice and follow your instincts to do things in a way that seems right for you.
There are many people out there teaching you how to travel blog. Regardless of who you choose to learn from, remember that your website is unique to you and your brand. What worked for someone else may not be for you.
And by the way – no, it’s too late. There will always be a need for travel bloggers. If this is your dream, then I say go for it!
